Cats On Tuesday--Healing

Anela here: My Number Two Cat Slave has been sick this past week and making a heck of a lot of noise with loud, continuous coughing. Then her coughing stopped, and she stopped making any sound! I overheard my other slaves saying she had laryngitis. They looked very worried.

That's when I knew I had to step-up my purring and heal her with my purrs. She loves for me to purr, and so I knew this would be a good thing, if only to make her happy. My purring seemed to work, plus she gave me MORE cat treats, so this was a win-win for both of us.

I looked over her shoulder one day when she was looking very intensely at the computer, and this is what I discovered she was reading: How To Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting To Kill You

Shocking! I'm not that kind of cat! If anything, I need to purr more often!

Dona Nobis Pacem

I'm contributing my decorated peace globe to Mimi's Blog Blast for Peace, and here's the symbolism behind my design:

I added a peacock feather because peacock feathers are associated with good luck, protection, and peace. In Japan & China this feather is an attribute of the goddess Kwannon (Kuanyin). The frog is incorporated into the design because peace is joyful and part of our inborn innocence.

And here's one of my favorite Peace Prayers:

Cats On Tuesday--Voting

Anela here: so I'm lying on my favorite sunbed minding my own business and dreaming of cat castles when suddenly my Number Two Cat Slave plops this black headband with an Obama pin on my head and then snaps my picture.

Does this mean she likes this dude Obama? I'd say so if she's using me as her prop! As long as Obama likes cats and is good to them, he has my vote!

In the meantime, I'm dreaming of better days for America.
